General Registration Doctors Mentorship

1. The aim of the Australian General Practitioner Pty Ltd (Aus. GP) mentorship program is to provide a supportive and skills for doctors to work as rural General Practitioners (GPs). We welcome doctors with no previous GP experience. You will be supported by our highly experienced rural Gps. You will initially get a provider number to work as a Non-Vocationally registered General practitioner (Non-VR GP) on the More Doctors for Rural Australia Programme (MDRAP) via Rural Doctors Network (RDN). Most doctors are on MDRAP for 6 months. The time spent under MDRAP also counts toward your training. Our Non-VR jobs are already approved for the RACGP and ACRRAM experience. Hence once you join us you are already on a postgraduate pathway to be a GP.
2. We facilitate transfer from MDRAP to a 2-3 years post-grad program with RACGP or ACRRM to become a fellow GP. We also support practice experience programs toward fellowship. Our supervising doctors are already accredited for both RACGP and ACRRM training. They have been guiding Non-VR GPs for fellowship since 2013.
3. Due to the location of our clinics, you will get VR payment rates which are wonderful news for you as this gives you an exceptional billing potential of $500K per year. We offered 60-70 % of the billings. Youtube video link.
4. We offer accommodation subsidies. All our sites have rooms for GPs to stay in. For doctors with families covering clinics and hospitals, who wish to stay in the town we offer 50% of the rent for an independent house. You can also stay free of cost in our shared accommodation. Video link/photos.
5. We offer travel subsidiaries like support with cars, and fuel allowance and operate a company-run aircraft for flights between Sydney Bankstown airport to Cootamundra. Why not see the video of travel back to Sydney on the home page of our website- www.sydneyaircfrathire.com.au
6. Hybrid work arrangements. Live in a city and work in a rural area model. We can facilitate doctors doing face-to-face work for 3 days in rural areas and do 1-2 days of telehealth from home. We have a web-based login set up to achieve this. Our Harden, Boorowa, and Cootamundra clinics are around 1-hour driving distance from Canberra. We also offer flights from Sydney Bankstown airport to Cootamundra airport every week using our company-owned aircraft as above. All this is particularly useful for doctors whose family is unable to move to the countryside due to partners’ jobs or children’s educational needs. 7. Rural Visit Sponsorship and monthly educational program in Sydney– why not visits in the town? We welcome you for a site visit. We will pay for your flight or drive to tour rural clinics. We will provide you with accommodation.
